The INVIVO collective group imagines a start-up, DreamR that has developed a virtual reality headset with the idea of replacing a night’s sleep with twenty minutes of dream. According to the company’s neurologist, this is a revolutionary idea. Wearing VR headsets, we find ourselves plunged into a fascinating visual and auditory world. A live experience of artificial sleep! On this journey that borders on a dream, we are accompanied along the way by the neurologist’s voice.
Will Tomorrow’s sleep be computer-assisted? Just how far can technology worm its way into our lives? Might we become hostages to it? INVIVO awakens our critical faculties faced with the dizzying heights of Innovation, defending sleep as the final bastion of a society built on investment and return. The young collective group brings together lighting and sound designers, actors and video makers who, through this dramatic piece that harnesses digital immersive arts and theatre, invent a new form of theatrical writing.
