With a good deal of humour, these real "Ch'tis" join the stage to preach their unconditional love of football. Passionate about sociology and a footballer himself, the director spent a year with the group before throwing himself into this unique documentary performance: cutting and fervent reality theatre that provides laughter and food for thought. At "half -time", the audience and actors even meet around the chip stall! Mohamed El Khatib uses popular language and folklore to portray a time when the last mine in a region finally closes and where the National Front and unemployment would take over were it not for football. Goose bumps all round when these inheritors of the working world positively belt out their club's anthem! We rapidly join in with this spirit of pride, brotherhood and irrepressible humanity. Not to be missed!

Can a theatre be turned into a football stadium?

Mohamed El Khatib takes on this challenge with around fifty supporters of the Racing Club de Lens. A unique show that has caused a sensation around the world.

« You don’t need to know about football to appreciate Stadium : even if you don’t understand the difference between a penalty and a goal shot, you’ll find your place here. This show is, above all, about theatre in a community that finds itself coming together beneath a banner. »
Le Monde

« A love of football and theatre, on the same pitch. »
