BASED ON THE ELVES OF THE BROTHERS GRIMM | CONCEPT, DIRECTED AND PUPPETS BY PATRICK SIMS

A giant Swiss cuckoo clock strikes thirteen… Out come a mischievous band of elves that have decided to put humans on the right track. In this world there is also a couple of giant shoemakers, a mother bird who is making her nest and a cuckoo-hunting rabbit who tries to stop time; the animals wear masks of bone, horn and fur. Amidst the ticking of the clock, the birdsong, the crunching of seashells and eclectic musical themes from different eras, we allow ourselves to be swept away by these elves, Mother Nature’s devout helpers. From science fiction to Tex Avery, this creative team frees itself from all that is traditional in this reinterpretation of three Grimm’s fairy tales to be enjoyed by children of all ages.

In the peculiar and enchanted universe of puppeteer Patrick Sims we rediscover the magic of Grimm’s fairy tales: fantastical, comical, and cruel.

« Blending mask work and puppetry, intermingling folk stories and crazy meta-history, this is a journey going far beyond everything ordinary, that beckons the spectator to dream awake. A wonderful contraption – for young and old! »

Stadium
« You don’t need to know about football to appreciate Stadium : even if you don’t understand the difference between a penalty and a goal shot, you’ll find your place here. This show is, above all, about theatre in a community that finds itself coming together beneath a banner. »
Le Monde

« A love of football and theatre, on the same pitch. »
